Course topics: 1. Introduction to housing law (general issues and concepts in the field of the housing law of the Slovak Republic and of selected member states of the EU. 2. Concept, nature, functions, sources of law. 3. The right to housing, legal reasons for housing. 4. Apartment as a subject of civil law relations. 5. Flat ownership (legal regulation, acquisition of flat ownership). 6. Administration of a residential / non-residential building, rights and obligations of apartment owners. 7. Apartment rental (contractual relations in apartment rental, rights and obligations resulting from apartment rental). 8. Specific types of apartment rental. 9. Termination of tenancy and protection of tenants and landlords. 10. Social housing and state support for housing and housing fund. 11. Contractual relations within the housing law (practical exercises in the field of apartment ownership and rental). 12.
