Fundamentals of Labour Law (XNPPb700)

Course topics: 1. Basic characteristics of labour law, its concept, subject and functions of labour law (concept of employment). 2. Sources and scope of labour law. Entities of relations in labour law. 3. Fundamental social rights. Basic principles of labour law. 4. Employment relations and their provision. Concept of legal facts and legal act, invalidity of legal acts; deadlines and periods in labour law. Preclusion and prescription. Protection of employees\' rights. 5. Employment contract (employment agreement). Agreements on works performed outside the employment relationship. 6. Termination and change of employment. 7. Performance of work in the public interest, civil service, state employment. Legal relations in securing the right to work.
