Course information

Course topics: The course focuses on topics that are most discussed in the current scientific literature. In the introduction, the lecturer introduces the delimitation of the selected problem, presents the basic doctrinal positions and identifies arguments. Subsequently, in dialogue with students, she will look for links between the presented constitutional problem and the topics of their dissertations. Basic thematic fields are these: - convergence and divergence of constitutional systems, - the relationship between Slovak law and international and European law - current issues of division of power - practical issues of the functioning of selected constitutional institutes, - methodology of interpretation of constitutional law, - the principle of proportionality in constitutional law, - the position of the case of the CC in the Slovak legal order, - the influence of the case law of the CJEU and the ECtHR on the application and interpretation of the constitutional law of the Slovak Republic.
