Types and genres of ancient literature, ancient authors. Latin Middle Ages, literary genres and literary topoi. Functions of medieval literature. Liberal arts. Aesthetic characteristics of the Renaissance and its European literary representatives. Ideological foundations of humanism. Aesthetics of baroque literature, baroque antitheses, authors of baroque literature. Enlightenment in Europe, European literary classicism, romanticism and realism.
