Course topics: 1. Subject of educational psychology. Phenomenal and criterion differences in upbringing and education. Differences in typological structures of the educational process. Performance and relationship in application contexts. 2. Basic and specific regulations of ethical behavior. Performance, moral and legislative standards. Morality as the highest ethical evaluation and processes of its neutralization. Logistical aspects of correctness of moral assessment. Educational problem behavior (VPS), its definition, categories and models. The problem of explaining VPS based on conditional and causal analysis; errors in determining VPS determinants. 3. In general, about the psychological peculiarities of educational methods. Division of methods in connection with their components and a brief description of the basic features of methods of educational action. 4. Peculiarities of clarification methods. Basic concepts of clarification information. Formulation of theses and arguments. Method of persuasion. Methods of forming a persuasive relationship. Specifically, techniques of using persuasion in practice. Suggestion as a secondary method. Arguments and argumentation. Value vs. the truth of the opinion. 5. Exemplification as a method of exemplification. Psychological mechanisms and methods of creating relationships induced by example. 6. The \"evidence-based\" method in educational psychology, scientific research institutions and their publication outputs in the world and in Slovakia. 7. Brain-compatible environment as a space for highly effective learning and communication. Respectful approach and the importance of boundaries in education. 8. Special educational needs of pupils and students at present. 9. Possibilities of education in the field of professional orientation and career development I. 10. Possibilities of education in the field of professional orientation and career development II. 11. Possibilities of developing critical thinking in psychology. Critical thinking as scientific thinking. How critical and scientific thinking develops in children. 12. Rationality of knowledge. Instrumental vs. epistemic rationality. How do we know that our beliefs are in line with reality. Errors in thinking.
