Course topics: Aims and content of teaching mathematics in primary education. State educational programme. Mechanism of the cognitive process. Conceptual process in mathematics. Error as an element of the teacher\'s educational strategy. Stages of formation of mathematical concepts, examples on different models. Hejny\'s method of teaching mathematics. Additive number systems. Positional number systems. Binary operations, their properties. Algebraic structures with one and two operations. Introduction of the concept of natural number, cardinal approach, ordinal approach. Divisibility. Numeracy in primary education. Aims and stages. Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in primary education. Introduction, models, algorithms. Fractions in the mathematics curriculum in primary education. Equations and inequalities in the mathematics curriculum in primary education. Word problems. Creation of appropriate word problems on various topics (Numbers, variable and numerical operations with numbers; Relationships, functions, tables, diagrams). Working with the textbook.
