Course topics: 1. Me and my family - greetings, introductions, family members, people, occupations of family members, personal and possessive pronouns. 2. Environment - objects in the room, colours, types of materials, shapes of things, basic numerals, activities in the room. 3. House and home - house/apartment and its surroundings; things I own; rooms in the apartment, pets, individual means of transport, famous cities, neighbouring states of Slovakia, cultural institutions and monuments, mountains of Slovakia, activities, ordinals, activities in the house. 4. Everyday life and time - time in hours, parts of the day, names of days of the week, names of months of the year, seasons of the year, basic holidays, ordinals in dates, activities for parts of the day and seasons, my routine for the day. 5. City life - means of transport and traffic situation, basic types of shops, basic food, basic things in the types of shops, services, activities related to city life, getting to school/work/home (description of the journey).
