Course topics: Brief course outline: Evaluation of education and schooling (definition, contexts, trends). Quality and effectiveness (efficiency and effectiveness) of pedagogical phenomena (processes, results, programmes, environment) as the subject of evaluation. Research on the quality and effectiveness of education, its results in international contexts (frequent topics, research results and measurements - OECD, EC). International and national documents on the quality of education and training. Current issues of assessment and classification of pupils\' achievement and behaviour - educational standards (content and performance standards). Evaluation systems of quality of school institutions and systems (TQM, EFQM, CAF, ISO and others). Internal control activities of the school\'s educational processes and results (in-school control and hospitality activities in school management). Performance of external control - tasks of the State School Inspectorate in the Slovak Republic and school founders. Self-evaluation of school quality (criteria, indicators, tools) and roles of actors of self-evaluation processes in schools. Evaluation of teacher quality (research results, possibilities, and pitfalls of new approaches). Evaluation of the learning needs of female teachers in kindergarten. Instruments of evaluation of pedagogical activity of teachers in kindergarten and their remuneration. Evaluation of didactic resources (textbooks, teaching texts and other sources of knowledge).
