Course topics: 1. Types of self-government and their scope in terms of the legal order of the Slovak Republic. 2. Local government, its scope and performance of the state\'s tasks in terms of rationality and efficiency of public administration. 3. Resolution of the General Council and a general binding municipal regulation as a result of the decision-making activity of the municipal authorities, their legal effects and the control of their legality. 4. Performance and scope of the municipal administration by the mayor of the municipality and control of its decision-making activities. 5. Conflict of competence between the mayor of the municipality and the municipal council. 6. The public-law dimension of commercial companies of municipalities, cities and self-governing regions and their specifics in decision-making.
