Basic terminology and classification. 2) Pharmacology as a scientific field and its subdisciplines. 3) The position of the nurse in pharmacotherapy. 4) Application forms of medicines (medicinal forms), ways of administering the medicine. 5) Development of new drugs. Clinical trials and phases of clinical trials. 6) Undesirable and side effects of drugs. Drug risk. Pharmacovigilance. 7) Original medicines. Generic substitution. Biosimilar medicines. 8) Specifics of pharmacotherapy during pregnancy, childhood and old age (Beers list of drugs). 9) Anti-infectives (antibiotics). Rational antibiotic therapy, the problem of resistance. 10) Psychopharmaceuticals. 11) Basics of pharmacotherapy of cardiovascular diseases. 12) Basics of pharmacotherapy in oncology (cytostatics, biological drugs, immunotherapy).
