Course topics: Schedule of subject: 1) introduction to the subject and expectations of students, basic terminology and types of research 2) stages of the research process and the specifics of research in nursing 3) defining the research problem, research goals, hypotheses and variables 4) selection of research sample and data collection method 5) essentials of working with the questionnaire - standardized and non-standardized questionnaire, distribution and computerization of data 6) creating a database of collected data in a statistical program and preparing data for analysis 7) descriptive statistics of 1 numerical variable - descriptive characteristics, boxplot, histogram 8) descriptive statistics of 1 categorical variable - frequency table, pie chart, column chart and presentation of the categorical variable in a statistical program 9) descriptive statistics of 2 variables - descriptive tables, contingency tables, stacked column charts, XY charts 10) graphic processing and principles of interpretation of descriptive statistics of 1 variable in a statistical program 11) graphic processing and principles of interpretation of descriptive statistics of 2 variables in a statistical program 12) final repetition
