Course topics: 1. International refugee protection, protection of refugees in the EU and within the Council of Europe. 2. Act no. 480/2002 Coll. on Asylum and Amending Certain Laws. 3. Initiation of proceedings, submission of a declaration to the PZ, local and substantive jurisdiction of police departments, admission conditions. 4. The course of the asylum procedure: acts, rights and obligations of the asylum seeker, placement in an asylum facility. 5. Evidence, information retrieval on country of origin information. 6. Decision in the administrative proceedings: types of decisions, suspensive effect. 7. Review of a decision issued in an asylum procedure by an administrative court. 8. Cassation complaint before the Supreme Administrative Court, Administrative Judiciary, Administrative Judicial Code. 9. Vulnerable groups of asylum seekers. 10. Migration Office, non-governmental organizations, international organizations. 11. The case law of the Slovak administrative courts in asylum matters II. 12. The case-law of the European Court of Human Rights II, Court of Justice of the European Union II.
