Theory of State and Law (ZTEd501)

Course topics: The subject is focused on actual issues dicussed in modern jurisprudence. A lecturer will introduce a selected topic, he will present basic doctrinal standpoints and identify argumentative clashes. Afterwards he will keep dialogue with his/her students and will motivate them to find connections between the discussed topic and their theses. Main topics: - state in the era of posmodernism - reflection of cultural differences in law - legal argumentation and interpretation - modern theories of justice - democracy in the 21st century - current trends in legal-theoretical thinking.
