Electronicization of Advocacy and AI (YNPRm111)

Course topics: 1. Legal regulation – basic sources and sources of information (Act No. 305/2013 Coll. on the electronic form of exercise of the powers of public authorities and on the amendment and addition of certain laws (e-Government Act)). 2. Some basic indicators and starting points in the electronicization of advocacy. 3. Peculiarities in the electronicization of the practice of advocacy that must be perceived. 4. Guaranteed document conversion. 5. Current jurisprudence of the SR courts in the matter of e-Government. 6. Portal www.slovensko.sk (electronic mailbox), receiving, sending, electronic agendas. 7. E-claims portal (https://obcan.justice.sk/ezaloby), use of forms. 8. Electronic court file, Register of authorizations for execution of execution, Central register of executions. Other electronic agendas within e-government (cross-sectional). 9. News from the world of Legal Tech. 10. Introduction to artificial intelligence - concepts, types of AI tools, importance for lawyers. 11. Legal framework: AI Act, AI Liability Directive, GDPR, Advocacy Act. 12. Ethical and professional limits of AI use (independence, secrecy, confidentiality). 13. Permissible vs. impermissible use of AI in advocacy (scenarios and model cases). 14. Lawyer\'s responsibility when using technology. 15. Overview of recommended AI tools for advocacy (ChatGPT, Claude, Luminance, Kira). 16. Practical exercises: creating a search, summaries, drafting a contract, reviewing AI output. 17. (Digital) security settings, data anonymization, reading the terms and conditions of the tools. 18. Principles of correct prompting (creating an assignment for AI). 19. Principles of responsible use of AI in the office - internal rules, records, team training. 20. Evaluation of an individual task - working with a specific AI tool in a legal case. Teaching methods: - practical demonstrations with AI tools, - working on model cases, - discussion of ethical dilemmas, - creation and editing of prompts, - anonymization of data for AI.
