Course topics: 1. Fundamentals, principles and systemic links applied in social security systems and applied in court decisions and the principle of social justice vs. principle of equality. 2. Personal scope of the insurance system and participation in its subsystems (compulsory and voluntary insurance, state policyholders, non-fulfilment of notification and contribution obligations) in the application framework. 3. Insurance relationships and determination of the contribution obligation in special situations, specific case studies on the establishment and termination of insurance in special situations, a self-employed student or pensioner and case studies on the concurrence of several gainful activities. 4. Sickness insurance benefit relations, especially conditions and specifics of receiving maternity, paternity and sickness benefits in the form of case studies. 5. Pension insurance benefit relationships (facts determining the amount of old-age pension, including gainful activity after its granting (specific calculation), concurrence of pension benefits, granting of remainders\' pensions). 6. Accident insurance benefit relationships and unemployment benefits (specifically procedural and medical procedures for detecting accidents at work and occupational diseases and their benefit coverage, shortcomings in legislation). 7. Contributions from the state social support system addressed in specific situations in which the (surrogate) parent of the child may find themselves and which require help and support in caring for the child, concurrence of contributions and signs of child neglect-redefinition). 8. Assessment of material need and provision of benefit in material need through practical studies (assessment of material need of household members who are (not) actively trying to get out of this state or cannot do so). 9. Assessment of the social consequences of severe disability and reliance on the assistance of another person for the purpose of providing selected social services (procedural and substantive requirements leading to the optional granting of compensatory allowances for a person with severe disability, especially financial benefit for personal assistance; care allowance). 10. Examples of procedural procedure in social insurance benefit proceedings (process of claiming benefits, how to proceed in case of non-award of benefits, proof and acquisition of evidence and their evaluation in proceedings, decision, costs of proceedings and appeal and administrative action, if any). 11. Analysis of the decision-making activity of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic in the field of social security with a consequence on the development of social security legislation (especially guarantees of entitlement to pension benefits in pension savings systems, disposing of the saved amount, procedural and contractual procedure of applying the pension benefit to the pension savings systems, the residual unpaid amount of the lifetime pension).
