Concept of the field of geriatrics. 3) Gerontology, geriatrics, and geriatric nursing (current demographic situation, ageing, old age, changes associated with ageing). 4) Specific characteristics of diseases in old age. 5) Pharmacotherapy in old age. 6) Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA). 7) Assessment scales in geriatrics. 8) Major geriatric syndromes (immobility, instability, incontinence, cognitive disorders). 9) Frailty syndrome. 10) Specific aspects of nursing care for geriatric patients. 11) Specific aspects of communication with geriatric patients. 12) Ethical issues in geriatric nursing
